I'm a New York City based writer whose work has appeared in/at: Smithsonian, the New York Times Magazine, Lapham's Quarterly, Curbed, the Paris Review, BuzzFeed, and a number of other outlets. I've been a contributing editor at Smithsonian.com and was formerly the web editor at Lapham's Quarterly. I've also been a tour guide at a historic house museum in Manhattan, a college radio host, and (briefly) a hair show model.
Since January 2020, I’ve been writing What You Get in California, a weekly column for the New York Times Real Estate Section that spotlights interesting properties for sale across the Golden State.
I've worked on content for WeWork, Lantern, and a number of other clients, and I love working on branded content, especially in the lifestyle, home, and travel spaces.
I hold a Master's in Historic Preservation from Columbia University, where my thesis focused on the interpretation of nineteenth-century New York City brothel sites for a modern audience.
